Conditions and conveniences in the hotel:
Kalina hotel has 49 beds in 17 double, 5 luxurious rooms and five apartments. The restaurant (80 places) has a summer garden and a barbeque in summer. A conference hall with 30 places, a day bar with 40 places, sauna and parking are available to visitors.
About the resort:
The resort is easily accessible. It is situated 73 km on the southeast of Sofia, 126 km on the west of Plovdiv and 10km away from Samokov. Borovets is surrounded by venerable pine forests. Its altitude is 1350 meters on the northern slopes of Rila and the foot of peak Musala (2925) – the highest on the Balkans. The high massifs of Rila protect from the sharpness of the air and improve it. The climate conditions are suitable for climate treatment and sports.
Entertainment:
The visitors may use the swimming pool and the fitness centre, a billiard room, tennis table and bowling. Incredible attractions are offered in the evening – folk songs, dances and national cuisine and the famous Bulgarian wines. Visits of the residence in Bistritsa are organized.
Skilled guides lead anyone who wishes through the most picturesque routes in Rila – the Seven lakes of Rila, peak Maliovitsa, peak Musala and many other nature sighs.
The ski tracks are 45km long, they are maintained in good shape and there are signs in different languages on them.
The ski school in Borovets is internationally recognized. In it work ski instructors who speak different languages.
